Audience Feedback

This section is summarising the audience feedback that I received off my class mates and teachers:

Positives

The positives were that the images were very striking and well placed on the page, also the paint splats on the front cover and the contents page were very good and demonstrated the style of the magazine very well. Another thing that was positive about my magazine was that the genre of the magazine was very clear and it was clear what it was based on. On my front cover people liked the idea of the name (however I have to change this because it is a existing music magazine). A final positive is that people liked the amount of detail that included into all aspects of my magazine.

Negatives

The negatives of my music magazine is that the contents page does not follow the style of my magazine or Mixmag so I shall have to change the layout and style of it to ensure that it follows my house style. Another negative is that my pictures are blurred and unclear so that the presentation of them is not very good and I will have to ensure that the next set are clearer then theses. A final disadvantage is that the name of my music magazine is a current magazine and I shall have to change it, also the amounts of fonts will have to change as well as the fonts that I have used so that the magazine is clear and easy to read.       

Diaries

Week 1 Monday 28^th February to Friday 4^th March:

This week I started my music magazine of which I have based on Mixmag, I have chosen Mixmag because it genre of Clubbing and Dance music is very similar towards the genres of which I have chosen to be of Electric/Dubstep. Also the style of Mixmag I believe to be is very good with in organised contents page that follows the same layout and picture size through all its magazines. The layout of the double page spread is very picture heavy and whilst conducting the questionnaire that I created the audience feedback told me that I should also make my double page spread image heavy.

Week 2 Monday 7^th March to Friday 11^th March:

During this week I have created my front cover with black background that ensures that all the bright colours are clear and easily understood, the layout is that the preliminary image is in the centre of the screen with the header placed to the top left of it and a small section is blocked, I have decided to call my magazine 'Vibe' because I believe that this name gives of the clubbing feel that I am going for, The 'V' is in the shape of a beat on a heartbeat monitor to emphasise the idea of the vibe of a club.         

Week 3 Monday 14^th March to Friday 18^th March:

During this week I have created my double page spread of which contents the main contents of my music magazine and is styling in the way of which my style model Mixmag is styled. It contents a Medium close-up that takes up a large percentage of the right-hand side page. Whilst completing my audience feedback I found out that people liked the idea of it being very image based and I have used this idea as well as having large headers to brake up the text. And I have also included a top bar that is demonstrated in Mixmag and I believe to make my double page spread more presentable.   

Week 4 Monday 21^st March to Friday 25^th March:

Through out this week I have be ensuring that all elements of my music magazine are ok, as well as doing this I have also been to completing my blogger account and placing my audience research, video interviews and graphs demonstrating the results that I found.  

Week 5 Monday 27^th March to Friday 1^st April:

Through out this week I have received feedback on all aspects of my work, in summary I shall be changing the name of my magazine from Vibe to Orbit this is because Vibe is a current music magazine. I shall also be retaking my pictures, this is because the quality of the pictures are not up to the standard that I would like them to be (they are blurred and poorly PhotoShopped) and I have also given constructive criticism towards other people’s work so that they can improve theirs also. Another thing that I am going to change is that I shall be changing my contents page by changing the font because i8t is unclear, changing the images and changing the layout because it does not follow the style of Mixmag and is unorganised.            

Week 6 Monday 4^th April to 8^th April:

This week I have completed all the necessary changes towards my music magazine and have completed all aspects of my blog to ensure that I have done every thing necessary towards the completion of my music magazine. Things that I have also included in my blog is a picture planning grid to demonstrate what pictures I am going to do as well as placing my first drafts on and placing theses diary entries so that It is clear towards what I have done.   

Final Drafts

This post shows my final drafts of my Front cover of my music magazine, my contents page and Double page spread all of which are finished and are I believe to be of a high standard

Rough Cuts

This is all of my pages that I have created as a rough cut of which I shall amend and with audience feedback I shall discover ways in which to do so. This post shows my double page spread, front cover and Contents page
